Course Overview
The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course is a three-year diploma program that aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work as nurses and midwives in hospitals, clinics, and community health settings.
Course Objectives

Course Structure
The GNM course is typically divided into six semesters, with each semester lasting six months. The course structure includes:
Theory Classes: Students attend theory classes in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, nursing, midwifery, and community health.
Practical Classes: Students participate in practical classes in nursing laboratories and hospitals, where they learn to provide nursing care and midwifery services.
Clinical Posting: Students undergo clinical posting in hospitals and community health settings, where they gain hands-on experience in providing nursing care and midwifery services.
Course Curriculum
The GNM course curriculum includes the following subjects:
First Semester
- Anatomy – Introduction to human anatomy, skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system
- Physiology – Introduction to human physiology, circulatory system, respiratory system, and digestive system
- Nursing – Introduction to nursing, nursing principles, and nursing practices
- Midwifery – Introduction to midwifery, obstetrics, and gynecology
Second Semester
- Community Health – Introduction to community health, epidemiology, and health education
- Health Promotion – Introduction to health promotion, disease prevention, and health protection

Third Semester

Salary Range
